  you may recall the thread i started on monday about wanting a change or an adventure... .

  well how's this for the laws of attraction.... my husband has just been told that his company is laying off 600 of it's 3000 employees in a massive restructure.. they are offering voluntary separation packages, early retirements, and then of course there will be forced retrenchments.

  we are thinking and hoping that he is safe for now, he is in middle management and well respected and liked.

  Hi all... thanks for the messages. He has till the 25th July to reapply or request a separation. He has been at the company for about 13 years, so I think that a change may actually be a good thing!

  If we did move, it would probably be to Oz or NZ, although I would love to go to the UK. I think that the US may be quite difficult to get into, although it would be fun to be a white african american!!! We were looking at jobs online last night and it looks like Nick may seriously be considering this. We will see how things pan out.

  all is good in my life... everything is just ticking over.

  my family is healthy and happy.

  my kids are great, and me and mr daisy boo is fine.

  We are thinking and hoping that he is safe for now, he is in middle management and well respected and liked. But you just never know...

  There is a little part of me that wants to say lets take the voluntary separation package and use the money to emigrate, but that is a huge decision and will have so many repurcussions with regards to our extended family, so I dont know if it is the right thing to do, even though we live in this insane country!

  Well, it just goes to show, be careful what you wish for!

  Road Accidents & Selfish Thoughts

  on the way home yesturday traffic came to a grinding halt.

  cars were lined up for miles in front of me, and were backing up behind me.. another accident!

  as a matter of fact there were 2 accidents that day.. of course when traffic does start moving it travels at a snails' pace.

  My new granddaughte is coming to visit...pics!

  my son and daughter inlaw are coming to visit and are bringing bailey, my new granddaughter!

  pics were taken a few weeks ago... she'll be almost 4 months old when they get here!

  Wow - I didn't expect my silly little moan to get to 2 pages even...

  I am embarking on more change than i have for a long while and loving it, though it can be scarey

  Good Luck David! You are an inspiration and you are going to do just great!

  9 a night out with the girls.10 go bowling.

  Come up to Jozi girlfriend - we can have a girls night out drinking the foam of the champagne and bowling???.

  Being a JW doesn't help either. We've missed out on so much during our childhood, you can't help but to go a little crazy in your adult life!!!!

  I know what you mean... I kind of went straight from being a dub kid to a serious relationship with my husband - I never really had a time on my own where I just did whatever I want. Choices I made, which I dont regret, but I sometimes wonder what if???

  Seriously, when I feel like that, I find a class to take at University. It's always fun to learn something entirely new and meet new people. And I love those new school supplies I buy at the beginning of the semester!

  Excellent idea StAnn... I have a couple of ideas which I am thinking of pursuing, just as soon as I can work out the finances.

  Maybe I'll just take up smoking marijuana. Take a trip without ever leaving the house
